Hi, My name is Jana and I travel with my dog Sami Jo. That is short for Samatha Josephine.

I grew up traveling with my family in an RV.  We had them all.  We started in an ‘ol army green canvas tent.  No, it wasn’t an RV but it was bigger than the desired truck camper.  The tent had a damp mildew smell that stayed in your nostrils long after the camping trip was over.  That is a smell that you can never forget nor recreate years later when you are glamping in my nice 26’ travel trailer with the AC blowing so hard that it forces me outside to the campfire.

We later moved up to a couple of different travel trailers, the first being a Nomad.

The next thing my mom knew there was a brand new Executive motor home in the driveway.   This is how it happened.  One day you would look outside and a new RV would be in the driveway.

It was only motor homes after the Executive became part of the family.  No going back to the travel trailers.  But, my dad found a new love.  It was called a Holiday Rambler.  There were a few of those that graced our driveway.

But the final unit was a 40′ Class A Holiday Rambler.

Somehow we missed the experience of a truck camper.  Probably because there were 4 of us and if I had two kids I would bypass the truck camper too.

Life on the road is in my blood!

I want to document the process of this journey to retirement and living in an RV from the beginning.

I retired in December 2017. Hit the road full time in January 2018 and have been traveling ever since.
